Action is a best rest!

People need to have a rest from time to time as it takes a lot of strength from people to live the way they do. This life we have today is a life full of rush and the stuff that is harmful for our mental and physical health because those are in close connection. That is why people care a lot about rest and they need it at least twice a year. But, they soon get bored if they are doing nothing, no matter on the fact that while working they are dreaming about doing nothing. So, the best rest for people is action. All they have to do is to change the activity and choose the one that is a pleasure for them. Well. In most case it is all about hobby. All people have things they like most of all but there are not a lot of those who have an opportunity to do those things during a life. And that is why the best rest for people is an active rest when they dealing with their hobbies. Those may be different for example hiking, swimming, racing or something. It is the best rest for people because things they like heal their tired souls and improve moods.

Time out

Rest may be of many different kinds and sometimes it may not be a rest of a good nature, it is sometimes a rest people need from each other. Say, there are people and they have relationships and they are likely to be in love with each other, though something is wrong with them and they feel it. They do their best in order to fix that something but they fail to do that and they feel helpless. They are helpless and they know there is nothing left for them to do and they just need a rest from each other, they need to disappear and they need something like space free of each other. Even in case both of them need this rest there still should be someone who is the first to pronounce it. And that first as a rule is the first one to give up. I say so because I am sure that running away and hiding is not the best way to deal with a problem. It is not the way to deal with a problem at all. And in case people are having rest from each other, there is no point for them to calm back, nothing good will happens to them and they are already dead as a couple.

Funny thing

Too few of us get nearly enough rest when we are ill. There are things to do and illness and rest just get in the way. The problem is that when we ignore our body’s demand for a little rest, we tend to find ourselves in the position that our body demands it. We stop being able to function and we stop being able to mentally cooperate with our needs and our desires. It is curious that we all share an innate inability to slow down and rest when we are ill. Perhaps it is nothing more than a carry over from our childhood when we were pushed to go to school despite our slight fevers and our general malaise. Perhaps we watched our parents go out the door every day despite their own illnesses and we realized that in their eyes rest was for the weak.

The funny thing is, if we decide to actually take a little time out for rest our bodies are more able to heal and we become healthy again much faster. One or two days off in the world creates a healing space that allows us to get back to our life rather than weeks of struggling against the need for rest.

Rest allows the body to focus on the illness and flush it out. It isn’t that we need to stop moving because we are weak or lazy, but because our body can only disperse the energy it needs into so many directions. Rest allows our body to focus on the healing aspects of its energy rather than the motion aspects of its energy.

Resting

People work hard to provide decent level of living so they need rest. Tiredness after a working day protects you from working too hard. You just need rest. Sometimes people feel tired during the day. Stresses and strong emotions take too much energy and a person feels tired. Rest can help a person to get body and mind back to normal. There are some kinds of activity that can help people to relax. Listening to music helps to overcome the day stresses. Writing a diary helps to analyze events of the day and find a way out of a difficult situation. Creative work helps to change the mood and stop stress. Sometimes cleaning up the room or drawing helps to recover the body completely.
Some people prefer to come home and fall asleep just for an hour or so. Sleeping slows down the activity of all systems of the body and energy is stored. In an hour a person is ready for different activities during the evening.
Rest is highly important for all your body and mind. Sometimes even dozing on the sofa with a favourite book does you a lot of good. The main problem is that people must learn to relax in different ways. Just try to dance, and soon you will feel much better. Try to think about positive things. You will feel much better and very soon your brain and body will be completely recovered. Do your best to have a good rest.

Inactive rest

There are many types of rest. There is no common view on the question how a person should spend his/her free time. Both scientists and ordinary people still argue about the way people should spend their rest. Some of them say that the most important thing is to spend free time actively. They claim that rest should imply the change of activities. For example, if you work physically, you are recommended to read a book or watch TV, if your job consists in brainwork, then you'd better do exercises on coming home. The critics of these ideas say that a person being exhausted after hard working day shouldn't be involved in another activity. They say that a tired person needs relaxation and nothing more. I think that both points of view are right. Everything depends on a person and situation. For example, if you come home and you are not tired, you can do something to switch over to pastime. However, people rarely come home full of power. In the majority of cases they come home exhausted and unable to do something. In these cases inactive rest is needed. If you are really very tired, you'd better come home and do nothing. No reading, no watching TV, just lying on your sofa and looking at the ceiling. This type of rest is also very important, it can be practiced in case a person is exhausted both physically and mentally. That is why never condemn people for primitive rest. Try to understand them. They don't have power for any kinds of activities. They need inactive rest to restore their powers. Otherwise, they can be led to serious health disturbances and nervous breakdowns.

Rest and leisure

People need rest. Unfortunately, many of them underestimate its value for our health. There are many people, who sleep 4 hours a day and think that they are quite enough to restore one’s power and productive efficiency. These people are wrong. There are even many theories, which argue that it is even healthy to sleep less than usual. I think that these theories are invented by or with the help of employers, who want to make the most of their employees. People, who believe in these theories don’t understand their real intention. Lack of rest leads to chronic fatigue syndrome. This is a very serious physical and mental disorder, which is very often underestimated by many people. This state resembles a vicious circle. This is not getting enough sleep only, it is much more serious. Not getting enough sleep is only a reason, which causes this syndrome. This syndrome is a vicious circle, because it is very difficult to escape from it. When a person experiences this state, he/she wants to sleep all the time, almost all the time, except the time to go to bed. As you see, this state is very insidious. Let’s consider it in details. You get up and feel exhausted, you dream about going to bed all day long, but when the time for sleep comes, you wake up at last and don’t want to sleep at all. You force yourself to sleep and fail, you suffer from sleeplessness. As a result you wake up exhausted again. the same scenario repeats constantly. If you don’t want to be sent to hospital, don’t drive yourself to this state. Reasonable measures must be in everything.

Rest

All people need rest. This statement is unquestionable. Those, who neglect it are workaholics. They know how to work but they don’t know how to have a rest. They suffer from it very much. Another category of people live to the contrary. They know how to have a rest, but they don’t know how to work, i.e. they are unable to organize their working day, can’t make plans and schedules. These people abuse resting and spend more time for their rest and less time to work accordingly. People who spend too much time for relaxation and doing nothing are called lazybones. They are parasites of our society. Besides, I think that they are very unhappy. Idleness has never made a single person happy. On the contrary, it devastates your heart and soul. You may argue that each person has a right for rest and it is up to him/her to decide how to spend this time. However, I think that doing nothing is unacceptable even during your legal free time. Rest should also be active and bring you some profit. Wasting time can’t be tolerable. Doing something for pleasure will bring you more relaxation than doing noting. For example, if you read an interesting book, you will learn something new, will forget about your work and will divert your attention form your current problems. Thus you will return to your work again and will be energetic and full of new ideas. On the contrary, if you will do nothing, you will think about your work and your brain won’t get the needed dose of rest and you will return to your work languid.
